Who We Help at Premier Pain Management

Dr Ryan with patientAt Premier Pain Management, we welcome people from all walks of life. You can benefit from chiropractic at any age. Below, you can read about some of the most common types of patients that we see. You’ll also get answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

Sports Injury Care

Active people and athletes at any level are welcome at our clinic. Your examination will include muscle testing and movement screening, as most injuries are due to abnormal movement patterns. We’ll have you do one leg stances, squats and more to locate the dysfunction in your movement, then correct those along with any other ailments you may have. We approach your care in this way to prevent your injury from recurring and help you perform at a higher level.

Pregnancy and Pediatrics

We welcome expecting moms and women who have recently had a baby. One of the biggest concerns in pregnancy is a shift in the pelvis that makes it difficult for your baby to get into the right birthing position. Dr. Ryan is certified in the Webster Technique. Plus, chiropractic patients show a 33% reduction in labor times when compared to women who aren’t under chiropractic care!

All types of childhood conditions respond well to chiropractic, including the simple modern-day malady “text neck” and postural issues. A study performed by OSHA shows that a 5-year-old has already had 1500 spinal-related problems. Make sure your child isn’t one of them!

FAQ

Does an adjustment hurt?

It should not hurt to be adjusted. If the area is already painful, you may have some discomfort when being touched. Afterward, most people report an immediate sense of relief. You may also notice your muscles are sore as if you had been to the gym, which is good news. It means your body is rebuilding and becoming stronger!

Can chiropractic cure everything?

No, it cannot. Chiropractic is not a cure. But it certainly can relieve the symptoms of a broad range of concerns.

Why would I have my newborn or child adjusted?

Many injuries happen during the birthing process. We have seen children with dislocated clavicles, hips and more. The birthing process can often put the top bone in the neck out of place, which may result in torticollis, colic and nursing difficulties.

Can chiropractic help with colic? How?

Yes. When the top part of the spine is adjusted, the symptoms of colic can reduce. You may find that your child is sleeping by the time they leave the office!

Does insurance cover chiropractic?

Yes. Please see a full list of the insurances we accept here.

What is the cost of care?

The fees involved depend on what the doctor recommends for you and your particular insurance. We’ll be happy to check your benefits and detail them to you.

Do I need a physician referral?

No. we are happy, however, to work with your other doctors to co-manage your case.

Will I get adjusted at my first visit?

You may be adjusted on either your first or second visit with us. It all depends on the complexity of your case.

Will you give me exercises?

Yes. Dr. Ryan will provide you with exercises personalized to you. At your second visit, you’ll receive a color printout and full instructions on how to perform them.

I’ve had back surgery. Can I still see a chiropractor?

Absolutely. Every day at our office, we see people who have had back surgery.
